It's not a stretch to call the new HTC One (or the new Samsung Galaxy S5, for that matter) the Android equivalent of the iPhone 5S—it's a phone that's faster and has a few new features, but it's broadly very similar to its predecessor.
The new and old phones each have 1080p displays, fast quad-core Snapdragon processors, and all-metal enclosures (with just enough plastic to let the wireless signals through).
