Samsung Z – New Samsung Tizen OS phone

The Samsung Z will be available in Q3 in Russia and is planned to expand to other markets. I applaud this and i hope they’ll finally deliver phones worth paying for. I played with a Tizen prototype at MWC, and at the time it felt as slow and laggy as Samsung’s Android phones. Of course, that was a test unit, but knowing Samsung, Tizen likely isn’t that great in terms of performance either (though with the lack of things like Java or a dalvik VM and stuff, it is likely capable of being better.)
